4G w/ Sprint
I know this may be a silly question, but I'm not a cell technician...WiMax 4G is putting up new towers in my area so I'll be getting better reception for 4G, will my Evo be able to use 4G to also do voice calls, or is it JUST for internet? Only reason I'm asking is because my coverage sucks in my house, and I'm hoping when 4G has new towers up I'll have good reception finally. I know AT&T you can speak through 3G, just wondering if it's the same sorta thing?!?!

Yes, you can. If you have bad reception at your house, and have tried updating the PRL, contact Sprint customer support. Sometimes in that situation, they will provide an Airave.

No, the 4G towers will not give you voice calls. (except for VoIP from some application). The WiMAX radio on the EVO is for data only. When you have 4G reception, you can make a voice call and use data at the same time, because it's using the CDMA radio for voice, and the WiMAX radio for data. When you are not in a 4G network, you cannot use both simultaneously.
