OK, so I have my contacts linked with Facebook. Recently, one of the contact links removed itself, I am having issues trying to relink it. The contact is still in the phone and it shows as a phone contact and a google contact. When i look in the Facebook for HTC sense contacts, its not there. But when i look @ facebook via the facebook app, its there

This is probably related to your contact Facebook privacy settings. There is a setting in Facebook 'Turn Off All Platform Apps' under 'Privacy' that when switched on will block all third party apps. You have to ask your friend to change the setting back, sync and then re-link.
