Can anyone shed some light on how compatibility of Android themes? For instance, will all themes developed for 2.x work on 2.1, 2.2, etc? Or do they need to be developed for each individual version?

What do you mean by themes? Are you referring to applications such as OpenHome? If so, then I imagine they will have to make a new version due to the size of the screen... When I had my DROID from VZW, I had to wait for quite a few apps to come out just specifically for the phone because it had a higher resolution than the standard Android phones at the time.

I was also curious on this, thanks for explaining chris! It seems like with my Nokia phones, each theme has a specific version (one for s60v3, s40, etc); so I originally thought this might be the case for Android as well.
