    Calendar (rename, change color, settings, etc.)

    I just synced my phone calendar with my work outlook by using the HTC desktop sync program (don't want to connect to the exchange server). After syncing all my work events to my phone i noticed they are labeled as "PC Sync" which makes sense. However, I want to change it to "Work."

    Is there anyway to re-name or sync my calendar events as a "Work" calendar?

    Plus, is there any way to change the colors of each calendar?

    Thanks.

    Yes, my wife and I have our gmail calendars sync'd and we wound VERY similar in colors of red. PC Sync landed on green, which I don't use so I'd love to just make her events green and mine the red but cannot change it. Only menu I seem to have access to is checking/unchecking which calendars are displayed. No way to rearrange/recolor the calendars. Halp!

    Not all calendar colors transfer to the Evo unfortunately. But you might want to try changing the colors online and see if that helps. Dunno if you'll be able to change the names. I can't test it since I don't have more than one calendar.

    Google Calendar

    I keep trying to figure this one out. I have 3 gmail accounts hooked up onto my Evo. The calendar is using the first email account I hooked up on this phone but my calendar is on another Google account. I am struggling to get this email account linked to the calendar. Anyone know how? In fact, is it possible to have more than one Google account linked with the Evo calendar?

    So I was able to change her colors, but mine is permanently red on my device. She is able to change my colors, but hers is permanently red on her device. I did have to change this online within my google calendar settings, not ON the evo, and even then the colors I chose online didn't match on the device, but it was very different from red so I can visually discern between whose events are whose without having to read/open the events.

    Get into your calendar app (white calendar days, not the slick Evo interface pages) Menu (device button) --> More --> Calendars and look at what you have on your check boxes. You can not add or delete calendars here, simply check/uncheck which events are visible from your device. If you have all 3 simply make sure all 3 are enabled. If they are not, you have to add them via the online google calendar settings;

    1) Log into the account you use for your personal calendar (not the one logged into the device)
    2) In the google calendar settings online open up the actual calendar and select "Share this Calendar" and add the account you have initially logged into the device on. Everything is pretty straightforward once you're there. Let me know if you need anymore help. This is how my wife and I share our separate google calendars, just make sure you set yourself up to be able to "Make changes to events" so you don't constantly have to log in/out of your personal calendar just because you're on your phone.

    First email only

    Thanks Smilty - I played around a lot with this and this is for others who want to know this information. You can ONLY access calendars on the first google email you sign up on this phone. If you sign up another email on the phone, you don't have access to that calendar UNLESS you share that calendar account it with the email you first signed up with on the phone. That's odd... don't know why this phone won't accept direct syncs with additional google accounts. Sucks.
    I rooted my phone and thought I would have more control over that but apparently I don't. I'm sure there's a program out there. I haven't gotten to that yet...

    Because not everyone wants to sync multiple accounts, so its an option you have to activate. I have multiple Google accounts. I only want one calendar syncing. So I don't activate sharing on the other accounts. Its logical to make it a choice.
