Video: Keyboard dock for the Galaxy Tab 8.9

What has been recently spied in Russia, at a launch for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, is a matching keyboard dock. It’s got a sleek, clean look to it. Quite similar to the original Galaxy Tab. One difference we see though is the way the tablet is docked.

Another good Android Tablet we have here. Though did you find something uncommon about the tablet?

Yup! You are right, these tablet comes with a keyboard as an accessory on it. A tablet that can be portable and can still look like a laptop, another thing that set a higher stand in the Tablet world.

Let's just see how will the customers will react to it and see how many people are really going to buy one.

Personally, I like it. The tablet gives me mobility, which is great! However, I do miss having the traditional QWERTYs in my hands, every once in a while. I hope it won't be too costly, though.

Tablets cost a lot when compared to netbooks, yet don't run a traditional full-featured operating system such as Windows 7. Adding a keyboard attachment only makes them look more like a netbook and cost even more (these accessories rarely are cheap, I think Apple's keyboard for the iPad is $ 69), while still not running a more capable OS. Why bother, is the touchscreen worth all the other compromises?
