Upgrading to a bigger Micro SD card and questions
Hello all !
I am upgrading the Micro SD card in my EVO 3D from stock to 16GB
the question is how do I go about doing this ?
Do I just plug the 3D into my PC as a disk drive and copy everything listed ?
what is the actual process ?

Be weary of the cards you purchase. I bought a 32gb card on eBay and it didn't work. When it comes to your HD don't skimp on price, it'll come back to bite you.

Yea true!
You shouldnt buy any Sd card with a speed lower than 4
Higher than for is good also
Although I dont knock Ebay either
You just have to watch the feedback
other buyers have given the seller

Oh, I wouldn't knock eBay it's the source of all things reasonably priced, not to mention hidden treasure. Would you say class 6 and up aren't necessary for efficient E3D use. Would a higher class card help with any apps or photo taking?

Higher class SD cards can increase the write speed, but not necessarily the read speed. The 3vo ships with a class 2 SD card, so obviously somebody thinks that is sufficient. You will probably notice slight speed boost with the class 6 card, especially when moving large files. If you do a lot of this (ex. writing movies to the SD card) then the benefit might be worth it for you.
Phone: HTC EVO 3D
Rooted: Not yet!
Stock 3vo...so far.

I was thinking class 10 but for the price its a bit extreme. Class 6 should do the job just fine. Makes complete sense. Thanks a lot.

Be carefully with the type of card as it may not read all your files once inserted into the phone. Also, be very careful when transferring all files. You don't want to risk losing one on the process.
