    Very strange charging issue

I searched around this forum and couldn't find anything relevant...

I have a very strange charging issue with my 3D. First of all, it never tops up to 100%, even tho the LED turns green. It goes to maybe 98 then stops. But the weirdest part is that after it tops at 98 or whatever, it fluctuates down to as low as 92/93 then back up again. This is frustrating because my Magic (Sapphire A6060) never had this problem, it would charge to 100 and stay there if on the charger.

I ruled out the battery monitor apps I am using as the cause.

What could this be and could I warranty this?

Does it go down to 92/93 while still in the charger? How long do you wait for the 100% after the green LED comes on.

Check this out for some info:

Yes, it dips to as low as 92/93 whilst on the charger non-stop, however it is more usual to be around 95/97. If you read my post, it never gets to 100 unless I bump charge which I would never do.

After reading that thread however, I understand more clearly what's going on. The battery gauge on my phone is actually uncorrected giving me the actual reading of the battery at any given moment as opposed to simply reading 100%. According to that post, having the battery at 100 for prolonged time is bad for the batt anyway, so I consider my issue a non-issue now. Thanks for the redirect!

On a side note, I used an iPhone 4 for a while and the battery life was on par if not worse than the 3D. So... I'm happy.
