GPS power button/widget doesn't work after Android 2.3.4. update

    Hi!
After I updated my phone to Android 2.3.4, the GPS power button isn't working anymore. Instead of toggling the GPS, it just resets the screen the HTC logo and then gets back to my home screen. Any suggestions?

Can you start the GPS by going into settings->location?

You can also try the following:

    1. Call Sprint and ask for your MSL code
    2. Dial ##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#)
    3. Type your phone MSL code
    4. Your GPS will reboot
    5. Reboot your phone

Verify if the problem was fixed.

Thanks for addressing my concern, Pawel.

Yes, GPS will work if go into the settings menu, but I'd love for the widget to work. Do you still recommend your solution involving the MSL number, or was that just a suggestion in case I cannot get GPS at all?

If you google the the solution with the MSL code, you will find lots of people reporting that it fixed their GPS problem, but I have not tried it myself.

finally tried MSL/GPS reboot, still doesn't work

Well, I finally got the MSL number and rebooted the GPS on my phone, but the GPS power button widget still doesn't work. This is after I took the phone into a sprint store, and they couldn't figure out how to fix this either. But no big deal Thanks again for your suggestion.
