Turning Swype Off
My device was updated last night. I tried Swype this morning and it works very well. However, I do not see an option to turn it off. I went to the language and keyboard area and accessed the keyboard types but that isn't it. Does anyone know how to return to the original keyboard from Swype?

How to Enable and Disable Swype on Android
Did you know that you can print from the Evo?

Re: Turning Swype Off
Go to any text input field and long press on the cursor, a box will pop up for input method, tap that, then select the keyboard you want..

You are my hero! I freaking hate Swype, and didn't really appreciate the automatic update that I couldn't undo.

This is a particularly popular thread here. john_f_moore is spot on in his explanation and I'll be posting a pictorial guide to answer this question later tonight.

Wish I knew this before...I enabled it and then had to do a hard reset to change it back to normal. xD *Facepalm*
