    "Phone Calls Only" mode?

Just got my HTC EVO 4g (love it) after having used a Blackberry Bold 9650 for the last two years...sorry I waited.

However, the Blackberry had one feature that I can't seem to find on the HTC: Phone Calls Only mode.

My alarm system and clients need to call me 24/7. At night, I switched the Blackberry to Phone Call Only mode, and wouldn't receive notification tones of e-mails, texts, etc.

Can't seem to do this with the EVO. All night I hear the notification sounds (D-R-O-I-D!) that wake me up. Is there an App for that?

Hmm...just wondering if turning off "Mobile Network" would do it. Calls should still come in, no?

Nope...turning off mobile networks allows calls, and texts.

What if you change alert settings for messages?

In Messages, tap Menu > Settings and modify the Received or Sent messages options as desired.

That might work. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

To get rid of e-mail notifications too, you can turn off data sync from the phones settings during sleep.
