    Complete Nooblet!

    Trying to root my phone and I can't even get it into recovery mode! I have held the volume down button + power button for 5 minutes and got nothing and when I let go of either the phone just turns on like it normally does! Please help me I have also downloaded quickboot fastboot and another I can't think of the name and they all say they can't put it in recovery mode cause I don't have root access!

    If you have the EVO 4G, you can't root if you have Gingerbread/2.3.3

    well I do have 2.3.3 so now my question is why? and can I go back cause I hate my battery life!

    THey haven't found an exploit yet for Gingerbread. I heard root will be available soon though. Just wait a little longer.

    When they do have root for 2.3.3 the forums are gonna come alive with newbies needing help to root, damn I hope it's soon, my friends are chomping at the bit!
