battery life 3500 mah Htc Evo

I am rooted, Rom Sinister V8 and I have an extended battery 3500 Mah. I am not getting great battery life, usually I get about 10 to 12 hours with average use. But I have seen others getting 24+ hours. It helped alot to buy SetCpu but I still don't feel I am getting the most out of my battery. Any suggestions?

Not sure if this is relevent or not but I'm getting a LOT more battery life ever since I have been turning off my network setting. I found that almost every feature of the phone works when this is off with the exception of internet or email. To use those features I merely turn it back on and browse the internet or check my mail. When finished, I merely turn the network setting back off. The phone rings and I can text along with most all other features that I have tried so far. The main thing is, the battery is lasting a LOT longer than before.
On a side note, my girlfriends 4G was eating up the battery as well and tried turning off the network setting during the non internet or email usage period and it too has changed the life of the battery 100%.
Let me also add that I/we don't get those annoying emails all day long or when we are asleep now too that's a plus!

I believe you have some apps which keeps your phone's CPU always at high level. You should get Watchdog to keep an eye on your apps. Good luck!

Tried everything above and more. In the end uninstalled SetCpu and am now using Interactive Governor on CM7 NIGHTLY build 219. Works great. Amazing battery life, sometimes up to 24 hours.

New issue though. Not receiving Mms (picture messages) very annoying. I can send just fine but not receiving. Using handcent. Can send to others but when send to self doesn't come through. HELP.
