Increase 3G Network Speeds
I don't believe you need to be rooted or anything to do this. You just need the MSL Reader App from the Android Market. I think, though, that this will only work on Sense-based ROMs.
Get the MSL Reader App and write down your MSL #.
Bring up your dialer and punch in ##3282#
As soon as you hit that last #, a screen will pop up. click edit mode
Click Advanced
Scroll down and change HTTP PD Proxy Port to 0 (zero)
Change HTTP PD Proxy Address to 0.0.0.0
Post back here with results!

Thanks! My network speed is very slow, so I am definitely going to give this a try.

God bless you
I've used this more'n once and despite saving the page inmore'n one spot, I always have a time finding it. You'd think xda'd have it but guess that's my fault.. I've tried prls, radios, everything and even tho my speed never comes close to what so many are saying it beats the 5-10 kbps I'm getting. Even the 123 I hit twice. I usually get it up to ~150 kbps with this and a good radio, new prl and whatever the ones I always seem to be unable to recall.
Anywho, much appreciation for posting what you probably thought was old news. God less you.

This still works although Sprint's 3G is very slow now because of the Alltell sale to Verizon. I am lucky to get 400 kpbs from my house. I used to get 1 MBPS.

Increase of speeds is AMAZING!
OMG! Thanks for the LEGAL way of doing this.....I have been asking and almost BEGGING these people at work to fix this issue.
BTW -- I found many other things to play with as well while in the test set up.
Back to my network books on PC's to see if any of this stuff applies to these networks.
Will keep you posted.
Thanks again
