Really great tips. I followed almost all of them. My data retrieval is acting a bit dodgy now (manual refresh of Weather now takes forever and a data, and web browsing so far won't load anything and says I have no connection), so I may undo some. But all in all I hope it helps.

Thanks for these awesome tips. In two days with the phone I could notice how all the available connections can eat up the battery. This thread was extremely useful and enlightening about some of the phone's feature.

Just as a complimentary tip. If you turned off the background data or auto sync as suggested, it can be very useful to add the "sync all" widget to your home screen so you can update all your feeds with a single tap anytime.
